Latest On The Conservation Gateway

A well-managed and operational Conservation Gateway is in our future! Marketing, Conservation, and Science have partnered on a plan to rebuild the Gateway into the organization’s enterprise content management system (AEM), with a planned launch of a minimal viable product in late 2024. Conservation Scientist

Stephanie first joined The Nature Conservancy in 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina, as a GIS intern. She then worked with American Rivers as a GIS consultant where she pioneered the first Landscape Conservation Design framework for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Later she spent a season with TNC in Southern Pines, North Carolina, as a prescribed burn crew technician where she participated in over 50 prescribed burns. Stephanie joined TNC's Michigan Chapter in 2018 as Dune Restoration Crew Leader before joining the Blue Accounting program as a conservation scientist.

Stephanie completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida in Spanish with a minor in Business Administration. She then completed a dual master's degree at American University in Washington, D.C. in International Affairs and Natural Resources and Sustainable Development. During the program she attended the UN Mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. She has also studied abroad in Seville, Spain, and completed a practicum in Israel and Palestine, which focused on water, cooperation and environmental peacebuilding.
