Gunnison Basin Project: Measures of Conservation Success

The Gunnison Basin has been identified as a priority landscape for restoration and habitat protection (especially for Gunnison Sage-Grouse and skiff milkvetch). The long-term vision for the area is to protect and manage ~300,000 acres of montane sagebrush shrubland by increasing awareness, appreciation and support for conservation among landowners, political officials, donors and the public.
