The LANDFIRE Program produces a rich suite of digital spatial data sets for the entire United States and many island territories. They are updated periodically to account for landscape changes due to human and natural disturbances and growth. Currently, there are more than 20 spatial layers in the data suite, including both current and estimated historical conditions.
Importantly, all spatial data layers for all ownerships are created
using the same methodology, thus producing a gapless, consistent data framework available to any user at no charge.
Content areas include disturbance, vegetation, fuel, fire regimes and topographic.
