Latest On The Conservation Gateway

A well-managed and operational Conservation Gateway is in our future! Marketing, Conservation, and Science have partnered on a plan to rebuild the Gateway into the organization’s enterprise content management system (AEM), with a planned launch of a minimal viable product in late 2024.  FLN Networker No. 137

7/24/2013
fln networker fire learning network
Issue #137 (24 July 13) of the FLN Networker, and its attachments. This issue includes news from landscapes, people and projects in California, Montana (on NPR), New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and the Southern Blue Ridge region.  It also includes links to a nice discussion of the definition of 'wildland-urban interface' (WUI), information on the LANDFIRE 2010 update, a report on barriers to Firewise actions, and an article on the effect of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide on forest water balance. As always, listings of webinars; FLN workshops; and training, conferences and workshop opportunities are included.

Attached are the flyer and application for the prescribed fire training exchange in northern California this fall, an interview with Jeremy Bailey excerpted from Nature Conservancy magazine, and a flyer for a field review tour hosted by the Pennsylvania Prescribed Fire Council.
