Partners in the Sand Plain Pines project are seeking to expand collaboration on this demonstration landscape to accelerate the restoration of fire-adapted ecosystems in north-central Minnesota. Core partners -- the Chippewa National Forest, Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Reservation, and The Nature Conservancy -- are engaging diverse stakeholders, including state agencies, local NGOs, recreational interest groups, and forest products industry to lay the groundwork for this restoration work.
