Description

The Landscape Conservation Forecasting process was applied to two large landscapes in Northern Nevada, the IL Ranch and the TS and Horseshoe Ranches that are owned and operated by Elko Land and Livestock Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation (Newmont). This report and appendices describe the methodology and set of metrics for measuring and predicting changes in habitat conditions for sage grouse (and other species of concern, namely mule deer and golden eagle). The report also includes recommendations to inform stewardship actions that Newmont may take on their lands to improve critical ecosystem functionality.
