This measures case study describes the efforts of the Palau International Coral Reef Center (PICRC) to assess the impact of the Ebiil Channel Marine Protected Area (MPA) in Ngarchelong State.

The MPA was created in 2000 and socioeconomic assessments were conducted in 2005 and 2010 using a combination of household surveys and key informant interviews. This case study also discusses the advantages of combining different methods for gathering information and the advantage of each method for conservation management.
