Latest On The Conservation Gateway

A well-managed and operational Conservation Gateway is in our future! Marketing, Conservation, and Science have partnered on a plan to rebuild the Gateway into the organization’s enterprise content management system (AEM), with a planned launch of a minimal viable product in late 2024. If you’re interested in learning more about the project, reach out to megan.sheehan@tnc.org for more info!

Welcome to Conservation Gateway

The Gateway is for the conservation practitioner, scientist and decision-maker. Here we share the best and most up-to-date information we use to inform our work at The Nature Conservancy.

TNC Expertise Application (TEA)

The TNC (The Nature Conservancy) Expertise Application is the replacement for the Science Expertise Database, which has been rewritten to improve usability and functionality, and has been moved to the conservation portal (along with ConPro and EAST). It is intended to serve as a place for TNC staff to list their scientific and technical expertise to make it easier to find your colleagues with specific skills.  It is currently only available on the TNC intranet, but we hope to eventually make it public.

When should you use TEA?

  • Learn more about the expertise and interests of TNC staff.
  • Search for someone with knowledge/experience about a particular subject (e.g. fire ecology, ArcGIS scripts, etc).
  • Identify potential research partners and collaborators.

Note: Access to the Nature Conservancy intranet is required to use this tool.
