Latest On The Conservation Gateway

A well-managed and operational Conservation Gateway is in our future! Marketing, Conservation, and Science have partnered on a plan to rebuild the Gateway into the organization’s enterprise content management system (AEM), with a planned launch of a minimal viable product in late 2024. If you’re interested in learning more about the project, reach out to megan.sheehan@tnc.org for more info!

Welcome to Conservation Gateway

The Gateway is for the conservation practitioner, scientist and decision-maker. Here we share the best and most up-to-date information we use to inform our work at The Nature Conservancy.

The Nature Conservancy's Spatial Data Resources

Spatial data and related information plays a vital role in conservation at The Nature Conservancy (for more information on our conservation approach, click the image at right).  A wealth of data is generated across the organization throughout various parts of the process from setting priorities through Ecoregional assessments to developing strategies, taking action and tracking results as part of Conservation Projects to managing information on properties we purchase to protect (TNC Lands). The primary purpose of this site is to make this core conservation data publically available through easy-to-use web map viewers for non-GIS users as well as directly in raw form via map services for more experienced GIS professionals.
