Resources for developing a "measures summit"

The Nature Conservancy held a Measures Summit September 29 - October 1, 2009 in Glen Cove, New York. This gathering of approximately 70 scientists, project directors, and senior managers from across the Conservancy evaluated our ability as an organization to assess the effectiveness of our strategies across a spectrum of the Conservancy’s most important projects and crosscutting focal areas (i.e., freshwater, marine, climate, protected areas).

Here you will find examples of documents used in organizing the Summit, including:

  • sample agendas
  • guidance for projects writing measures reports
  • guidance for peer reviewers
  • guidance for creating a 15 munite measures presentation
  • guidance for explaining and presenting a theory of change
  • recordings of internet-based meetings covering these topics
  • links to additional resources

PowerPoint presentations, videos, and blogs from the meeting are also available.
