"Neighbors Helping Neighbors" Spreads Like Wildfire: Innovative Learning Exchanges Across the Great Plains Develop Prescribed Fire Professionals
This poster, presented at the Conservancy's central North America science and stewardship meeting (February 2012; Aurora, NE), summarizes a strategy for building prescribed fire capacity developed by the Fire Learning Network in the Great Plains. It highlights some of the key aspects of the prescribed fire training exchanges (TREX), their accomplishments over four years, and some suggestions for spreading the model further.
